I didn’t have much trouble getting my raw data. It was straightforward and I got what I needed, so credit where it’s due to whoever runs this.

I tried CRI Genetics mainly for the ancestry side of things, i wasn’t totally sure what to expect. But I was kind of surprised by how detailed the regional breakdown was. It didn’t just stop at broad areas, it showed smaller regions too, which made it a lot more interesting for looking into my family history. It was easy to understand, and overall, I’d say it felt worth it to me...

Am I the only one who found the sample kit okay, but not amazing? It was easy enough to use, but the instructions were kind of confusing at first. Not bad overall, just could’ve been a little clearer.

I thought it was a good value overall, it did what I needed and I don’t feel like I overpaid...

Going off what I remember hearing from my family over the years, parts of the ancestry report made sense and matched the stories I’ve been told. But a few of the regions seemed a little off to me, or at least not what I expected based on family history. It wasn’t bad overall, just felt a bit mixed and not completely accurate for my background.

I got my results after a few weeks, which felt a bit slow to me at first, but it wasn’t too bad overall. In the end, everything came through fine, so I’m okay with the experience

I liked that the pricing was actually easy to understand. I didn’t have to click around forever or feel like there were hidden costs waiting at the end. Everything seemed upfront, which made it a lot easier to make a decision without overthinking it. if they ever started sneaking in extra fees, I’d probably leave, but so far it’s been straightforward

I ended up sending it back, the whole return process was super easy. Everything was straightforward and handled without any hassle, which I definitely appreciated.

I was expecting at least a dent or two from shipping, but the box showed up in really good shape. No dents, no damage, everything looked fine.

The site worked fine for me, like no big issues or anything. But I did feel a little unsure, unsure about how my DNA data is stored or shared. The privacy info is there, it’s just not super clear in a way that made me feel totally, totally comfortable.

I ended up canceling my order because I changed my mind. Support took a little while to get back to me, but the refund literally came through a few days later without any issues. No big drama.

From what I remember, the haplogroup info was explained in a way that actually made sense to me. It wasn’t overly complicated, and looking back, it was one of the more helpful parts.

The instructions were mostly clear. I got a little confused at one point, but figured it out.

The kit did show up eventually, but it took longer than I expected. Shipping wasn’t terrible, just slower than I was hoping for, and when I checked in about it, I kind of felt dismissed instead of getting a clear update

I was able to use the dashboard and eventually find my results, so it does the job. That said, some pages were slow to load, and the menus were confusing at first. I also kept getting asked to verify myself again and again, which got annoying fast. Overall, it’s usable, but it could definitely be smoother.

Not gonna lie, I really appreciated how clearly they explained their methods. It made me feel a lot more confident in the results, like they weren’t just guessing or throwing out random info

I ended up ordering the health report kind of on a whim, mostly because I was curious and had some time to poke around. I wasn’t really expecting anything life-changing, but it was interesting to see a few things line up with stuff I already knew about myself.

The report itself was easy to read, and I liked that the health notes didn’t feel overly technical or hard to follow. Some sections were more useful than others, though a few felt a little broad, like advice you could probably find in a general wellness article.

After sitting with it for a bit, I’d probably give it 4 stars. It’s helpful for getting ideas and thinking about your habits, but I definitely wouldn’t use it as a replacement for an actual doctor visit.

The results were okay, but vague for me. I was hoping for a bit more detail, but instead got the genetic equivalent of a shrug. Not terrible, just not as specific as I expected...

I got my CRI Genetics results and felt a little misled by how straightforward I thought the report would be. It’s readable enough, and the layout isn’t terrible, so I was able to find most of what I wanted. But some sections were more confusing than I expected, and the wording could definitely be simpler. I had to reread a few parts just to figure out what they were actually trying to say. Overall, it’s fine, but it wasn’t as clear or easy to understand as I felt it was made out to be.
